Mariko Yamamoto is a highly skilled hairstylist with around 20 years of experience in the industry.

Before coming to the United States, she worked for 16 years as the manager of a beauty salon located on Omotesando, considered by some to be the Fifth Avenue of Tokyo. Her experience extends well beyond the salon, and just a few of the many jobs she did while in Tokyo include styling for magazine photo shoots, giving lectures for seminars, and acting as a judge for competitions. She also used to organize two hair shows a year and was even involved in the development of hair care products for Wella Japan and Milbon Japan. In 2021, she moved to New York City, and since then, she has mostly been active in salon work and photo shoots.

Mariko Yamamoto is a versatile stylist who is skilled at coloring and other techniques, but her specialties are cuts and perms. When creating hairstyles, she uses a combination of scissor-cutting as well as razor-cutting and tailors her approach to work with each client's unique hair texture. She can work with hair of all types, and you can trust her to handle anything from coiffures with a strong sense of design to natural cuts to match your lifestyle.

She also remains committed to evolving her craft and continues to create new hair designs while in the city.
